CAIRNLAND IS CARRYING ON!

You may well have been fortunate enough to miss Our Chairman Martin’s “Cairnland” [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] satirical spoofs over the last few years, in which we announced that our 70 acre farm just outside Faversham in Kent had seceded from the UK in order to apply to remain in the European Union following that crazy Brexit referendum. However, as the reality was going way beyond our ability to satirise it, we eventually had to call the whole idea to a halt.

But suddenly, now Cairnland is back with a vengeance! For you this means that Cairn can continue to do business just as before, because of the unique advantages of our farm location. We have a great deal of space here, in respect of both property and land, so although some of us are now working from home, others can continue to work here as normal while minimising their exposure to others. And nobody in OUR little nation has yet to test positive for the virus! We also don’t have a head office or parent Company to tell us what we can and can’t do, and nor can any external investors, as we don’t have any of them either. Such uncertain times are actually a huge opportunity as far as we are concerned, and we’ll be making the most of it!

And yes, with all the uncertainties of life outside our borders, there is an even stronger sense of camaraderie here, as once we are tucked away in our little corner of the Kent countryside (as usual, pronounce with care!), the rest of the world feels a most satisfyingly long way away, allowing us to concentrate on all those things that we love to do best, which of course includes looking after you, our customers.

In that respect, a significant consequence of this current little international difficulty is the cancellation of so many conferences and other meetings, which deprives you of the opportunity to catch ANY diseases from us for a while. We’ll therefore be dedicating correspondingly more effort to the digital side of our sales and marketing activities, of which we trust this will be just the start. So do stay tuned for further developments….
