Today, Thursday November24, is Thanksgiving in the USA, so we’d like to extend our greetings of the season to our American friends and colleagues. In fact, Martin our Chairman is mingling with them right now, as he is currently visiting our Ionoptix friends in order to show them our latest LED light sources –of which we’ll be telling everyone about very shortly! Although Cairn is a very pro European Company, as witnessed by the recent establishment of our Cairn GmbH subsidiary in Heidelberg, and Martin being able to use his ancestral connections in order to obtain Irish citizenship, our roots are actually over on the other side of the Atlantic, here in Boston. As one of Martin’s old blogs related, the origins of Cairn were in the research that he once did at Boston University, so he has always felt a very strong kinship to this part of the world. And as Boston has particularly strong Irish connections, he is feeling especially at home right now!
