Meet the team part 1

An interview with Sophie Hart , Company Administrator (seated on the right) - by Linda Hall

We have introduced a series of interviews with different members of the Cairn team so that you can find out a little more about us!

How long have you worked at Cairn and what is your background?

I’ve been at Cairn for 8 months. Prior to this I ran my own Craft business from home for 3 years. I also have an extensive admin background.

How does your role fit in to day to day life at Cairn?

I am responsible for processing orders, liaising with customers and distributors and general admin support as and when required. This week I have also been battling with our company car insurance provider to finalise our cover over many phone calls!

What’s your favourite Cairn product?

I’m not scientific, so this is a tricky one! The Aura does have a great name though and looks good on a microscope!

If you could switch places with anyone in the company, which job would you choose?

I have covered Dispatch when our Dispatch Coordinator Jamie has been away, which I enjoyed. It’s a more active job, so less sitting at my desk, plus you get more hands on with Cairn products.

What’s been your proudest moment working for Cairn?

To date, passing my 6-month probation period; hopefully more in time!

What initially drew you to working at Cairn and how has the company changed since your start date?

It’s a local company, so I only have a short drive to work, plus it’s a lovely rural location which is great for walks in both Summer and Winter. The atmosphere is also very relaxed.

Which three words would you use to describe Cairn?

Creative, innovative and relaxed.

Where is your number one travel destination?

Australia

Do you have a New Year’s Resolution?

To be more mindful and have a positive approach. Positivity podcasts and audiobooks are helping lots!
