Dual Illumination/Emission Rig
A researcher needed to simultaneously measure fluorescence and reflected brightfield as part of a compact upright configuration.
Solution
We came up with a set of filters to allow all wavelengths to be transmitted and reflected without having to change filter cubes. In addition we added a rotatable/removable polariser and iris to improve image quality.
For each of the two illumination layers, we optimised the optics to match the back aperture of the objective and provide even illumination. To ensure there was no vignetting through the system, we provided our larger format combiner cubes which accept 32mm filters. These are now available as a standard option.
The whole system is mounted on a custom mount plate for integration into researchers rig.
