The Cairn OptoByte controller allows the public domain MicroManager software to operate LED light sources, shutters, perfusion valves and other hardware.  It has a USB input cable and eight BNC output sockets, each with a status indicator.  The eight channels can be controlled individually or be set by an 8 bit value to give 256 different output combinations.  Support for other software platforms will be added in due course.
