MultiCam
Multi emission imaging using multiple cameras
The MultiCam enables two or more cameras to be coupled to the same microscope port with precise alignment between them. The concept began with the TwinCam, but now has extended to three cameras in the form of the Tricam. For those of you with even more cameras than that, then a QuadCam variant is also possible.
Using the same interchangeable filter cubes as our OptoSplit and microscope couplings, these devices facilitate simultaneous acquisition at different wavelengths or polarisation states with pixel alignment.
Applications
- FRET - Fluorescence (Förster) Resonance Energy Transfer
- Simultaneous use of two fluorescence markers
- Ratiometric ion concentration
- Polarisation
- Simultaneous transmitted light and fluorescence
- Simultaneous high speed and high resolution
Depicted on the right is the TwinCam
Whilst below is an example of the TriCam coupled to the side port of an Olympus microscope.
