The ORCA-Flash2.8 camera features the new scientific CMOS image sensor FL-280. This advanced CMOS device delivers the same excellent image quality expected from scientific CCDs and more. Unlike traditional image sensors, the FL-280 achieves high frame rates at very low noise levels. The FL-280 offers high resolution, high readout speed, and low noise simultaneously.
The features of the ORCA-Flash2.8 camera work together so you can see what you need to see and measure, whether it’s small cellular features, fast events, or faint light signals. The ORCA-Flash2.8 is suitable for various applications including brightfield imaging, low-light fluorescence imaging, and high-speed imaging. For brightfield applications, this camera offers excellent dynamic range and high resolution. For fluorescence and chemiluminescence applications, this camera has the sensitivity combined with speed and dynamic range. For high-speed imaging such as monitoring blood flow and particle flow, this camera offers 45 fps with a full frame and up to 1200 fps with a small region of interest.
