Complimenting our core expertise in fluorescence measurements, we are also able to assist with configuring systems for bioluminescence. In such experiments the light levels are tiny so the noise and sensitivity requirements of the detector are paramount. We typically use a photon-counting photomultiplier head to achieve this ultra-high sensitivity, but deep-cooled, electron-multiplied, CCD cameras can sometimes be used.
